This digital module exclusively reads discrete, On/Off signals (typically 24 VDC). Equipped with 32 input channels, its job is to constantly monitor the logical status of dozens of components around the engine and the wider plant.

It instantly gathers signals from limit switches, relays, fluid level sensors, min/max pressure switches, or emergency stop buttons, and transmits that status data to the central CPU. It is an absolutely vital component for the plant's safety logic and start/stop sequencing: if a safety contact opens, this module detects it in a millisecond, allowing the computer to shut down the engine before any damage occurs.
